Beds were comfy, loved the Victorian architecture and furnishings.
Breakfast was typical american continental: essentially junk processed food with little in the way of protein, fruit, muesli, or other healthy options. It's what you find at any Super 8, etc. I did not eat it. Victorian furnishings require extra cleaning. There was more cleaning that should have been done on the floor, fixtures, furniture.
This hotel is dripping in vintage Victorian details. It was gorgeous and so cozy! The room came with a working fireplace, with wood ready to use in it for us. The staff were super nice and held our bags for us after checkout so that we could go have lunch.
staff friendly and helpful
Broken furniture, no safety devices in bathtub, (hand hold, grab bar, shower head not adjustable for height) cold floors door to the room was in poor repair, (light gapped through margins, windows leaked cold air, torn curtains, overall room was cold, tired and in need of updates, will not have me or my family stay there again.
Check-in was seamless, the staff was inviting and helpful, the decor was unique, and the overall history, makes the Queen Anne a gem in San Francisco. Location was great, and quiet.
Breakfast was a little disappointing, only used it once. Very plain, reminiscent of a lot of hotel chain "breakfasts". I was hoping for something more unique.
Room - good heating, water pressure; mattress softer than used to but still good. Breakfast - adequate Common areas - enjoyable, very nice Location - excellent Luggage storage - very nice service
Room - one of the windows lacking lock kept opening up, kept down with heavy book, needs repair; there are 2 heating controls and took a minute to figure out
Quiet inside. Historical and interesting.
A little dusty and the couch pullout bed did not have enough blankets.
Very cute and charming, the afternoon cookies and sherry in the lobby were lovely. Friendly staff. Clean. Location was really easy to connect to transit and get around. Also very close to the center of Japantown, which was great!
Beds were not very comfortable, building is old and you can hear folks coming and going, although this was far more for a room next to the elevator. We could hear everyone going in and out of the elevator at all hours. Not great if you like to sleep in a little bit. Also, no refrigerators, so nowhere to get leftovers after going out.
It’s amazing! The hotel has so much character, the rooms are extremely comfortable, and the staff are so friendly. I HIGHLY recommend and plan to return.

Great little find. The property is over 135 years old! If you want to go back in time, this is a great hotel. Things aren’t the most modern or up to date, but this just adds to the charm. Plenty of restaurant options within easy walking distance. Quiet neighborhood.
Beds were a little lumpy, and pillows were hard. This wouldn’t keep us from staying here again.
Very friendly, beautiful furnishings.
Breakfast needs an omelet station.
