There was a very slow check-in process, with more than an hour of waiting because the staff started late. Four employees were present, but only two were actively helping, while the others seemed idle. As a result, we missed access to the VIP lounge and had to rush to the boarding gate as it was already open by the time we finished checking in. The staff member at the counter informed me that I had to check in my hand luggage, even though it contained important documents and electronics. Why are passengers who spent less on their tickets and arrived later than me allowed to carry their luggage on board? Given this, next time I will consider hiding my hand luggage to avoid this situation. My only insured luggage was the large one, so if something happens to my hand luggage, it’s a big problem for me. I mentioned this to the staff, but they couldn’t offer a solution, such as providing insurance free of charge.

Our flight was changed to the next day just a few hours before check in. It was stressful working with ITA and GoWay to get a modified flight that left lax on the correct time. We had to stay 9 hours in Rome airport before we could get our connecting flight to Palermo. Very stressful.
