Rental had a flight tire so was not able to pick it up

The car was very good and the employee very helpful, but they did not accept my debit card in full terms. Because of that i had to add a very expensive insurance which was annoying.

90 min wait in line to get served. Then I was told (after I had paid the USD500 bond) that there were no cars available. Absolutely pathetic and I will never use them again.

the company did not review the car and if it had damages or scratches on it and i picked up the car in the dark. thus, was not able to see any visible damages on the car. when i returned it, i was charged for damages that i did not do while driving the car. the car was not clean when i picked it up and had a very poor experience overall.

Pick up took longer than necessary.

I had reserved a car without of course knowing what the exact model would be, but that on the kayak website said it would be at least big enough for 3 people plus 3 suitcases. When I got there they had reserved me a car so tiny barely 3 people could fit into it, and she said it was whatever model car I reserved “or equivalent” and she was claiming this was equivalent. I had no choice but to upgrade to a bigger car which cost an additional 50% of what I was expecting to pay. I ended up paying more than I’ve ever paid for a rental car in my life, for the type of car I thought I had originally booked. This vague language on the kayak site that allows car companies to bait and switch means I will never rent a car from kayak again and risk this happening again. I felt completely ripped off, and since my reservation email says nothing about what type of car I originally reserved I have no recourse.
